Il weekend di Teutschenthal ha assegnato anche il titolo della MX3, incoronando l’austriaco Matthias Walkner come Campione del Mondo, successo che completa strike della KTM che ha conquistato così tutti i titoli in palio (Cairoli – MX1, Herlings – MX2).
L’austriaco doveva solo amministrare il vantaggio in classifica senza commettere errori. Le due manche sono state vinte da Filip Neugebauer (alla sua prima gara in MX3, al comando del campionato tedesco)
